| | so i have recently increased the grain to my ewes all was fine but the past 2 days one ewe decided shes not eating grain any more just wants hay or grass other then not eating grain ever thing else seems normal could the increase in grain given her a sour stomach and turned her away?

| | Yes, an increase in feed could cause this. You have to slowly increase the feed when making an increase. I would guess she has an ulcerated stomach. Best thing to do is to get some medicine from the vet to heal her stomach. Put her on grass hay for a few days and then slowly bring her back on feed. Daily probios is a must during this. Bearkat...... pay attention to the lambs droppings are they loose? If they are you might be headed down this same path. Also, wet feeding helps with the bloating in the sun a little. B Complex will keep appetites on track.
