|Put the lamb on a brace box, and make sure that you are keeping the lambs spine in line from the tip of his nose to the dock. Also, some lambs who have no stamina will side step because they are getting tired, the best thing to do is use the "box" and the brace box consistently and keep the lamb on a good schedule and his stamina will come with the training. It is EXTREMELY important to make sure you are working your lamb at least once a day and 6 days a week on bracing and showing. If the lamb is not trained and has no stamina you will be fighting him in the ring.

|I've found that most often when a lamb steps sideways it's because the showman isn't lined up straight with the lamb. Make sure you are standing toward the front of the lamb rather than to the side. Make sure also that you aren't pressing your knee into the lamb or causing him to have difficulty breathing while he's bracing. All these things will make the lamb uncomfortable and he'll move to get more comfortable.|

|Make sure alms dont tork the lambs head to the side because he lamb will want to be straight so if the head is crooked he will turn to stay straight in line with his head|

|try pushing head back i call this the cobra effect while pulling up slightly. if the lamb comes forward stop position your body for the brace and do the same. to many want to pull the lambs head and nose to sky this is a NO NO. give sheep a look thru the body and arm this helps on the nose to the sky.|
